Recently, we celebrated a special milestone: welcoming new women into our sewing team.
Meet Melany: A Story of Growth
Melany is already a familiar face in our community.
For the past two years, she has been a dedicated member of UPAVIM—showing up consistently, contributing her time, and investing in her future. During that time, she also earned a scholarship through UPAVIM to study massage therapy, reflecting her commitment to learning and growth.
Now, she’s taking an exciting next step: learning to sew.
With guidance from our Craft Director, Angela, Melany is developing a new skill that opens the door to increased income and long-term stability for herself and her family.
Welcoming New Artisans
We’re also thrilled to welcome another Melany to UPAVIM.
She has been interested in joining our community for some time, and as demand for our products has grown, we’ve been able to open that door.
She is now in training, learning the craftsmanship behind our handmade goods and beginning her journey as part of the UPAVIM artisan team.
