Our woven Guatemalan aprons are a colorful, beautiful necessity for any home cook! Each apron is expertly hand-woven in a variety of Guatemalan handwoven fabrics that match our other gorgeous kitchen items. As always....Handmade & Fair Trad.!
My wife has been wearing Guatemalan aprons for about 30 years. They were of similar design and had to bepatched and sewed numerous times. so she is very happy with her new aprons. She says The colors and the design are exactly as I remember of the earlier styles. I enjoy knowing the name of the person who made the apron and will think of them and wish them well when I am in my kitchen. By the way, what kind of cloth is this? I am also proud to be supporting the women of La Esperanza and their artistic efforts to better themselves and their community. Thanks again.
I really love the concept of this apron... It's so beautiful and I love supporting anything handmade and fair trade. I was really surprised when it arrived because it looked like it was made for a child. It is very short, which is ok, but the chest part is so tiny it barely covers anything. The fabric is also very thin and unlined which means it doesn't really protect you from much. I will be lining mine. I would gladly pay more for a thicker apron with more coverage. Highly recommend otherwise.
It arrived quickly and is exactly the apron I wanted. It looks exactly like the picture. I’m happy to buy from the women’s cooperative.
Love it! It's hardy and covers alot more than I expected. Perfect for getting down and dirty in the kitchen or garden
Lovely fabric--washes well, nice colors, very typical Guatemalan pattern. I'll buy more of these as gifts.
Your purchase directly supports marginalized artisans in Guatemala. Most, who are women, live in high crime urban areas. Proceeds from all sales directly support the funding of UPAVIM's community K-6 School. We are a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation.
