Not only are they absorbent and practical, but they also contribute to reducing waste and promoting a greener lifestyle by minimizing the need for single-use materials. Additionally, our fiber shawls add a touch of eco-friendly elegance to any outfit, proving that sustainability can be synonymous with style.
Collecting and Reusing Reclaimed Materials🌿
Central to our sustainability ethos is the concept of upcycling and repurposing materials. We actively collect scrap materials from other industries, giving them new life in our products. All of our wood products are sourced from reclaimed wood pieces: Coffee root, Laurelwood, Macawood, and Pine. Diego works tirelessly in his workshop carving each individual piece, while Raquel, Diego's wife, coats each piece in sustainable Tung Oil, to ensure each piece lives a long life. Upcycled Deadstock fabric scraps from a local clothing designer are transformed into our jumbo silk scrunchies. Upcycled Corte fabric, or traditional Mayan skirt fabric, are gathered at markets to be repurposed. We even partner with Coca-Cola, recycling old aluminum cans to make stunning and whimsical ornaments and tags.
